I became addicted to travel early in life, while travelling with my family, and have been addicted ever since. The idea of seeing new places, experiencing new adventures, and trying new foods is an addiction like no other. I graduated from the hosteling/backpacking days of my youth, to hotels, room service, and guided excursions as I got older and started travelling with children. Travelling with kids is adventure on a whole new level. I'm just lucky to have a son and nieces who are also addicted to travel and are willing to go anywhere and try anything. (Plus they carry my luggage!) Lucky for them or I would have left them behind a long time ago. Lately though, it seems like I spend my travel time in remote, hard-to-get-to places that most people don't get to see. Recently it was Iceland and the Galapagos. You never know where this crazy industry will take you next. Guess that's half the adventure.
